Since 1988, Carol Priest has been dedicated to crafting natural products that are kind to the skin and the environment. Starting in Palmerston North and moving to Nelson in 1998, we’ve been at the heart of natural skincare for over 25 years. Today, Carol Priest is a leading name in certified organic skincare, offering an extensive range of products, all meticulously created in small batches.

We produce a variety of certified organic products using the finest natural ingredients. Our range includes skincare, haircare, and body care products; all designed to nourish the skin and promote long-term skin health. Our products are loved globally, with a presence in countries such as South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Canada.

Carol Priest Organics has been certified organic by BioGro since 2006 - one of the first skincare brands to be BioGro-certified - although we began producing our products organically long before. Our founder, Carol Priest, a visionary scientist formerly with Glaxo Smith Kline, started developing natural skin care products in 1988 out of a desire to create safe, effective, and environmentally harmonious products.

  • No Synthetic Ingredients: We strictly ban the use of synthetic ingredients, opting for organic botanicals to ensure no toxic chemicals are used in our products or their cultivation.

  • New Zealand Botanicals: Infusing our products with New Zealand botanicals embodies the purity of our homeland.

  • Scientifically Proven Actives: We use “naturally-derived” actives that deliver effective results while minimizing long-term risks.

  • Sustainability and Transparency: Since the 1990s, we have used glass jars and bottles and disclosed full ingredient lists, even before it was mandatory.

One of the significant challenges we face is the cost and logistics of using organic ingredients. However, we are proud to offer our customers the finest natural ingredients. We are also working towards having our entire skincare range certified organic and transitioning all our packaging materials to FSC-certified materials to enhance our sustainability efforts.

Since 2003, we have been exporting our products to several countries, representing New Zealand with pride. Our commitment to innovation means we are constantly refining our processes to reduce our environmental impact and produce healthy products without compromising future generations' ability to do the same.
